Mahatma Gandhi University established the Business Innovation and Incubation Centre (BIIC) in 2016, with the seed capital of Rupees 1 crore from the Government of Kerala to foster a vibrant innovation system and a better University-Industry linkage. The former Director, Prof. Dr. Girish Kumar R was the dynamic founder and backbone of the venture, BIIC. The BIIC aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship by extending administrative, academic and incubation support to students. The centre synergizes the triadic relationship of University- Industry-Government for establishing an innovation ecosystem.
